Since forming in late 2003, the {edit} concern has had two consistent goals:

1. Write music that transcends any current fad and will stand the test of time.
2. Have a dynamic live show that can reach out and blow away any crowd, at any venue, at any time.

So far, so good.

The {edit} concern has built a deep, loyal following in the Metro Detroit area on the back of a tremendous live show that effortlessly mixes their original music with a vast array of cover songs from every era and genre. They released their first album, Deadlines in December 2005, to critical success. The mix is detailed - complex musical layers, dynamic vocals, rhythm, songwriting. Their sound will affect your mood, your inner artist, or your tapping foot.

Musically, the {edit} concern continues to stretch, pull, and ultimately challenge each other to raise their standards of musicianship and songwriting. They are currently hard at work preparing to enter the studio to record their sophomore album. They continue to play live shows that change from night to night, with new music appearing weekly. 

Through their songwriting and live shows, the {edit} concern has gained a foothold in the hyper competitive Detroit music scene. In the future, near and far, they look forward to expanding that foothold as far as their music, ridiculous over-the-top live shows, and relentless work ethic can take them.
